New Federal Rental Assistance Funds Available!

The U.S. Treasury Department has recently disbursed rental assistance funds to Clay County, Duval County, and St. John's County respectively. These funds are for renters who have been impacted by COVID-19 and have overdue rent. Each county government will be responsible for how to disperse the funds to those in need.

  • Clay County: received $6,620,464.90 in federal rental assistance funds. Applications are open for rental assistance funds. Applications are made through the website below.

Clay County Rental Assistance

  • Duval County: Received $28,920,070.80 in federal rental assistance funds. Duval County Rental Assistance The funds will be available to citizens to cover up to 12 months of rent and utility payments with the option for an additional three months if determined necessary to ensure housing stability. Partnering agency, the United Way of Northeast Florida, will distribute $23.8 million for rental assistance. Mayor Curry announced the landlords will not be required to waive late fees to participate in the program. Duval County will begin accepting applications on Monday, March 29th at 8 am. 

Duval County Rental Assistance

  • St. John's County: Received $7,991,953.00 in federal rental assistance funds. The applications are live for residents to apply for funds. Applications are placed on the county website, or renters can call (904) 209-6140 for assistance.
