The First Coast Apartment Association is governed by a Board of Directors responsible for setting policy, planning for the future, and ensuring the financial soundness of the association.
If you are interested in serving on the Board, or if you would like to recommend someone for a Board position, please contact Lindsey McClain at 904-292-1345. Interested individuals will be e-mailed an application, which includes a summary of board responsibilities.
Our goal is to attract a diverse group of qualified candidates with a variety of different skills, expertise, and backgrounds. To achieve this goal, we need your help!
In 1979, a group of apartment owners and managers joined together to form an association dedicated solely to the needs of the multifamily industry on the First Coast. That association was the Jacksonville Apartment Association. The association grew rapidly and formed an alliance with the Apartment Council of the Northeast Florida Builders Association.
In 2003, recognizing that one organization could better serve the industry, the Apartment Council officially joined the Jacksonville Apartment Association. The result was the First Coast Apartment Association (FCAA).
FCAA provides nationally recognized designation and certificate programs that provide its members with the skills needed to succeed in our evolving industry. FCAA also offers a wide array of workshops and seminars in topics like leasing, marketing, landlord tenant law, fair housing, maintenance, technology, and more.
Together with the Florida Apartment Association and the National Apartment Association, FCAA provides legislative advocacy on local, state, and national levels. Together, we’ve tackled issues like lease termination fees, fire safety codes, maintenance licensing, and balanced housing policies – issues that would be impossible for members to tackle on their own.
The First Coast Apartment Association is resolute in its commitment to provide quality educational programming, ensure a strong voice in legislative affairs, and serve the multifamily needs of the First Coast. Your membership helps us meet that commitment.
