Chris Loebsack is the Managing Principal of Loebsack & Brownlee, where he focuses exclusively on providing eviction-related legal services for property management companies throughout the Southeast. Known for his deep industry expertise and practical approach, Chris has built a reputation as a trusted legal partner within the multifamily and rental housing sectors.

A proud graduate of Clemson University and Duke University School of Law, Chris combines strong academic foundations with years of hands-on legal experience. He has been recognized as a North Carolina Super Lawyer since 2015 and has served as a North Carolina Certified Mediator since 2009, reflecting both his legal excellence and commitment to resolution-focused outcomes.

Chris is also a respected voice in the industry, frequently speaking at major conferences hosted by organizations such as NAA, NRHC, and NARPM. His contributions have earned him numerous honors, including induction into the Apartment Association of North Carolina Hall of Fame in 2025 and recognition as the 2024 recipient of the Greater Charlotte Apartment Association Lex Marsh Award.

Beyond his professional practice, Chris is deeply engaged in industry leadership and community service. He currently serves on the Board of the Wilmington Apartment Association and has previously held board positions with both GCAA and AANC. He is also the current co-chair of the North Carolina Rental Home Council’s Legal Committee and has served on the Clemson University Humanities Advancement Board since 2015.

Dr. Josh Gellers will be moderating our Executive Roundtable topic, AI.

Dr. Josh Gellers is Dean of Professional and Lifelong Learning and Inaugural Faculty Fellow for Artificial Intelligence at the University of North Florida. He is also an expert with the Global AI Ethics Institute and a member of the City of Jacksonville Data Advisory Committee.

Dr. Gellers has published dozens of articles and chapters and written two books, including Rights for Robots: Artificial Intelligence, Animal, and Environmental Law (Routledge, 2020). He is currently co-editing volumes on AI for Oxford University Press and Edward Elgar.

He holds a BA in Political Science from the University of Florida, an MA in Climate and Society from Columbia University, and an MA and PhD in Political Science from the University of California, Irvine. He has provided expertise on AI to legislators, academic institutions, nonprofit organizations, and numerous media outlets.
