Goals:

  1. Younger generation participation
    1. Involvement with classes and participation
    2. Hosting maintenance focused events – appreciation, dinner meeting spotlights etc.
    3. CTQB Board - get some FCAA members to sit on the BOD and give us a presence on a City level.
  2. Partnership with local colleges and/or trade organizations for recruiting
    1. Take a more professional approach to our maintenance staff by offering conflict resolution and leadership styled classes.
  3. Quarterly breakfast meeting
    1. When do we want to host Q4 breakfast? Topic? Another panel? Give some ideas! We would like to have the nominations for Q4 Golden Plunger in before this date. So we need at least 5 weeks out.
  • Discussion on Goals – any updates?
  • 2019 PMC renewal year. $100 fee will now be charged by COJ for late renewals (after 9/30).
  • We would like to see Maintenance presence at November 8th Dinner Meeting
  • Scholarship options – All-Day class (worth $126) give as prize to Golden Plunger winner and allow that person to gift it to another? Offer it to someone paying for class themselves? Ideas?
  • Quarterly Maintenance Newsletter – start for next issue of Coastlines? Deadline November 15th.
    • FAA Maintenance Mania, Golden Plunger Winner other hot maintenance topics. Who wants to write articles or other small topics for newsletter?

Minutes:

Local college reach out update: Michelle and Kris have left messages for local colleges about getting contact information to start getting involved in job fairs hosted by the school - not the employers. Currently waiting on call backs. The next job fair was too close to this meeting to have us be involved. Committee very happy with the turnout of the first quarterly maintenance breakfast. Some topics for the upcoming meetings are: customer service, communications with office staff and residents, basic fair housing for maintenance - work order scripts and learing what you can/can't say to residents and on written work orders. Do we want to email Coastlines to the maintenance database? Include special constant contacts on the Golden Plunger winner or important hot topics (light bulb and corded blind changes?)

Next quarterly breakfast and Golden Plunger winner - 12/7 from 8a-930a. Start marketing GP nominations
