Amy Sweezey is a meteorologist, author, public speaker, podcast host, and mom of 3. She spent her entire career in full-time TV news before leaving in 2020 to start her own company, Social Weather, LLC, whose portfolio includes Carnival Cruise Line, Growing Bolder, Convention News Television, and nationwide local affiliates of ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, and Spectrum News.

What to Expect

In this thought-provoking program, Amy draws on her 30 years as a broadcast meteorologist to guide audiences in creating their own personal forecast for life.  She’ll explore key principles needed to develop a survival kit to weather life’s inevitable storms, and to learn to:

More About Amy

Amy graduated magna cum laude from Loyola University Chicago and continued her studies at Mississippi State University. She holds the prestigious Certified Broadcast Meteorologist seal, awarded by the American Meteorological Society, along with the National Weather Association Seal of Approval. She is a recipient of multiple “Best Weathercast” and “Best Weather Reporting” awards from the Florida Associated Press and was named a “Broadcaster of the Year, by the National Weather Association.

Amy was elected to the National Weather Association’s Board of Directors in 2022. She has authored two children’s books about the weather and created two weather workbooks for elementary students. Her latest book, Let’s Talk Weather: TV Forecasting: Behind the Scenes, was selected as a gold medalist for the Florida Authors and Publishers Association President’s Award.
