Beginning in September every year, FCAA hosts our annual canned food drive. Every year we are able to donate thousands of canned goods taking several truck loads to the Clara White Mission, as well as over $2,000 in donations.
The Clara White Mission was founded in 1904, and the First Coast Apartment Association is proud to have supported their mission for over a decade. The Clara White Mission works in partnership with the community to prevent and reduce homelessness through advocacy, housing, job training, and employment. More information on The Clara White Mission can be found on their website here.
Beginning in November, FCAA hosts our Angel Tree Tag gift drive to support the Children's Home Society of Jacksonville. FCAA members choose tags with gifts for children in the foster home system. FCAA works with members to donate hundreds of gifts annually to children of all ages to ensure that everyone has a happy holiday season.
CHS opened it's doors with a staff of two in 1902 and has continued to grow and support children in the Northeast Florida area. FCAA hosts "Ronnie's Race" annually where we encourage members to join us for the Children's Way Family Day & 5k in support of the Ronald McDonald House Charities Jacksonville. We are able to host a "Tailgate Tent" with snacks and drinks for attendees, and also raise money for donations.
